Webster Tashkent Claims Victory in Cyber Sports Championship

Tashkent, Nov. 14, 2024 – Webster University in Tashkent proudly emerged as the champions in the Cyber Sports competition, held from Nov. 5-7 at the Cyber Arena Center.
Organized by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovations of the Republic of Uzbekistan in collaboration with the Ziyo Forum, the event brought together Uzbekistan's brightest university gamers to showcase their skills in the thrilling Dota 2 tournament.
In the final showdown, Webster University's team secured a decisive victory against Westminster International University in Tashkent, earning the Republic Champion title and a grand prize of 10,000,000 Uzbek soums.
A Celebration of Cyber Sports Excellence
The Cyber Sports championship aimed to engage students in meaningful and exciting activities during their free time, while highlighting their talent on both local and international platforms. The competition witnessed fierce rivalries among 50 university teams across Uzbekistan, culminating in an electrifying finale where Webster's Gorloks stood victorious.
Final Standings
- Champion: Webster University in Tashkent (10,000,000 Uzbek soums)
- Second Place: Westminster International University in Tashkent (7,500,000 Uzbek soums)
- Third Place: Angren University (5,000,000 Uzbek soums)
