Webster University Tashkent successfully unveiled two new academic programs during the Webster Networking Reception 2026 at the Hyatt Regency Tashkent, bringing together representatives of business, academia, international organizations and diplomatic circles for an evening centered on partnership, dialogue and the future of education.

Organized in collaboration with the American Chamber of Commerce in Uzbekistan (AmCham Uzbekistan) and the Europe-Uzbekistan Association for Economic Cooperation (EUROUZ), the event became an important meeting point for those shaping Uzbekistan’s professional and educational landscape.

The event was not just a formal gathering, but a space where education and industry met in a meaningful way. Guests from leading companies, international associations and educational institutions came together to exchange ideas, discuss market needs and explore new opportunities for collaboration.

The evening started with remarks from institutional and organizational leaders, including representatives of AmCham Uzbekistan, EUROUZ and Prof. Dr. Jean Paul van Marissing, Rector of Webster University Tashkent. In his address, van Marissing emphasized that the role of universities today extends far beyond the classroom.

“Education today must be connected to the realities of the world around us,” he noted. “Universities should not only provide knowledge, but also build bridges between disciplines, industries and cultures. At Webster, we are committed to preparing students for a global environment where adaptability, communication and leadership matter more than ever.”

The launch of the two new academic programs became the central moment of the evening. Developed in response to the changing needs of Uzbekistan’s modern economy, the programs focus on strengthening expertise in law, strategic leadership and global communication. Their introduction reflects Webster’s broader mission to deliver career-oriented, high-impact education aligned with both global standards and local realities.

The discussion that followed added further depth to the event. The Academic Programs Launch Panel brought together experts and industry representatives from AmCham and EUROUZ member companies, Dentons Uzbekistan and the Uzbekistan Marketing Association. Speakers shared insights on how industries are evolving and highlighted the growing demand for professionals who combine legal awareness, strategic thinking and strong communication skills.

The conversation made one thing clear: Employers today are looking beyond narrow specialization. They value professionals who can navigate complex environments, think across disciplines and operate confidently in international contexts. In many ways, this reinforced the relevance of the newly introduced programs and Webster’s ability to respond directly to market needs.

More than just a networking event, the Webster Networking Reception 2026 reflected Webster University Tashkent’s growing role as a connector between education and practice. By bringing together academic leaders, business representatives and global organizations, the University reaffirmed its commitment to preparing the next generation of professionals for success in an increasingly interconnected world.
