Webster Tashkent Hosts First Hackathon, Celebrating Student Innovation

Tashkent, Uzbekistan – Nov. 2, 2024 – Webster University in Tashkent proudly hosted its first Hackathon, bringing together talented students to showcase their creativity and problem-solving skills. Held in partnership with IQtidorly in the university’s Grand Hall, the event featured a range of innovative projects that captivated both judges and attendees.
Out of 83 registered projects, the top eight competed in the final rounds. After an exciting day filled with pitching sessions, intense Q&A rounds, and insightful feedback, the following teams emerged as winners, each receiving a $1,000 prize for their outstanding solutions:

The event opened with inspiring speeches from Webster Tashkent’s Interim Rector, Dr. Anthony Jarvis, executive director of the Center for the Implementation of Webster University Programs in Tashkent, Dr. Rasul Rakhmonov and notable guest speakers such as Mr. Mirjalol Mirsabitov, founder of IQtidorly, along with academic leaders Dr. Nitin Goje and Dr. Maximo Nacional. Their insights highlighted the power of technology and innovation, motivating students to push their limits.
The Webster Tashkent Hackathon 2024 was more than just a competition. It offered unique sponsorship opportunities for organizations to connect with a dynamic community of future tech leaders.
